Privacy
Short version: VAPE currently has no accounts, sets no cookies, and runs no third-party analytics or trackers.
What is collected today
- Standard server logs. Like nearly every web server, the hosting infrastructure (Hugging Face Spaces) sees requests: IP address, user agent, requested path, and time. These are used only for operating and protecting the service (for example rate limiting) and are not used to profile visitors.
- Your preferences stay in your browser. Display settings (chosen chain, density, chart
mode, watchlist) live in your browser's
localStorageand are never transmitted to us. - No cookies, no analytics, no ad tech, no fingerprinting.
What the server fetches
Market data is fetched server-side from public APIs (DexScreener, GeckoTerminal, public chain RPCs). Your browser talks only to VAPE; it is not handed to third-party trackers to render the boards.
When accounts ship
A future release will add optional accounts (email or social sign-in, possibly via a dedicated authentication provider). At that point this policy will be updated before launch to state exactly what is stored and by whom (for example an email address and a session cookie, and the provider's own policy will be linked); sessions will use httpOnly cookies, credentials will never appear in URLs, and account data will never be sold. The same applies before any trading or fee features ship.
Your rights
If you are in a jurisdiction with data-protection rights (for example the GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold. Today we hold effectively none beyond transient server logs. Questions or requests: contact the operator via the channels linked from the terminal.
